Executive Vice President of Ministry Advancement

Rick VanDyken

Rick VanDyken had been a Providence Life Services Board member for three years, and he joined our Ministry Advancement Team in 2021. Previously, Rick worked in a Mission Advancement role at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights for more than 20 years. His prior background includes financial services for a school among the Navajo people in New Mexico and the Hillcrest School in Jos, Nigeria. He has also served on the board of many organizations, including Southwest Chicago Christian School, Roseland Christian School, and Christian Reformed World Missions. Rick and his wife Sue have four adult children. They attend Palos Heights Christian Reformed Church.

Scott Studebaker

Scott Studebaker has been a fixture at Providence Life Services for over 35 years. Scott's family operated a family-owned nursing home, instilling in him a love for the type of work he found at Providence. After years working as a healthcare professional, he gravitated to our growing organization. He loves his current job working in Advancement and Development, where he gets to meet many people who support our mission. Scott and his wife Mary have 2 children, two cats, and a dog named Petunia. He enjoys spending time serving at church or with Young Life, as well as vacationing in Gills Rock, Wisconsin.

Scott is still a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. He is also a member of Rotary Club of Elmhurst, Chairman of the Village of Lemont Planning and Zoning Commission, Former Member of LeadingAge Public Policy Congress, Turning Point Action Board of Directors, Chair of LeadingAge Spirit PAC, Board Member of Worldview Ministries, Board Member of Studebaker National Family Association, Board Member of Shale Harbor CSO, and Board Member of The Table.
